Sunday morning we were up early again, which gave us a chance to get to the tree farm before anyone else to get the best one on the lot. (Yes, we did dress Jakob in the same festive sweater as he wore the day before to see Santa...miraculously, he didn't get it dirty.) Finding and cutting a tree is a much different experience with a 19 month old instead of a 7 month old! After not being all that excited to get his jacket on, Jakob did enjoy himself while we were outside. He liked stomping around and playing with the little trees, but it upset him when Dan finished cutting our tree and it fell over. Then Jakob was very interested in watching Dan trim the bottom branches on the back deck, but he was a bit frightened when Dan brought the tree in front of the back door. Now that he's gotten used to it, he enjoys pulling ornaments off, calling it a "big tree," and saying Ho, Ho, Ho at it.
