In a New York State of Mind

In honor of the Subway Series between the Yankees and Mets this weekend (okay, that's not why we went, but I needed a way to work in a reference to the Yanks' big sweep of the series!), we took Jakob for his first road trip out of state to visit Grandma and Grandpa Hall in Hamilton, New York this weekend.  The weather didn't cooperate entirely, but the rain did give us lots of extra snuggle time for JD and his grandparents.  We had such an excellent time, and Jakob was such a good boy for all of it!

Looking forward to being big enough to take a ride with Daddy on the four wheeler

He is our little wild thing!

Quality time with Grandma

Getting so big...look at that chubby belly!

He doesn't think that crown is fit for the king of the crib

Can't wait until these fit him!
Sporting some overalls and some cute shoes

Baby's first brewery!  (I'm waiting for our "Parents of the Year" Award to arrive in the mail)

Jen, Michael, and their adorable son Theo met us at the brewery
We've come a long way from singing Madonna at the local bars!

We had 2.5 hours of awake time yesterday morning!!  Thank goodness, because it's a bit of a drive between Huntington and Hamilton, and he slept pretty well on the way back.
We stopped to have a picnic dinner at Crown Point in NY State by the new Lake Champlain bridge.  This picture is nearly identical to the next, except Jakob is giving me a face in this one like he's horrified that I would embarrass him by being such a tourist in this one.

A slightly happier baby here

A family picture thanks to a lovely couple that stopped and asked if they could take one for us!
