Celebrating My Birthday!

What an incredibly birthday weekend!  We started with a campfire and chocolate cake on Friday evening.  Saturday we went to the Underhill Harvest Market, which was much more summery than autumnal.  Everleigh took one look at the climbing wall and insisted she get a turn on it...atta girl!  Dan took me out for date night and the best dinner we've had up here Saturday night, then Sunday we spent most the day at North Beach in Burlington playing in the sand and swimming.  Who would have thought that we'd be swimming in northern Vermont on my birthday?!  (Turns out it was a record breaking day...previous high temp was 84, and it hit 91!)  I enjoyed getting calls, texts, cards, and messages from friends and family all day.  I'm so lucky to have so much love in my life!!!!

Jakob had his six month appointment today (about 2.5 weeks late, but I'm not counting, haha), and he did amazing as usual.  He gained over two pounds since his 4 month appointment, and he's up to 16 pounds 8.5 ounces now.  That means he's officially tripled his birth weight!  He still has a tiny head, but he grew another 1.75 inches and is in the 57th percentile for height.  The doctor called him the happiest baby ever, and although she probably says that five times a day, it was still nice to hear.  He didn't love his three shots, but after a quick round of The Itsy, Bitsy Spider, he was all smiles again.  Talk about a huge success!
