We packed up the car and all traveled down to Gettysburg College for Homecoming Weekend in September. Even having broken up the drive down with a quick stop for the night in CT, it was a lot of driving, but the kids were absolute troopers and we had a blast. It was crazy to visit all of our favorite hangouts around campus and the battlefields with them, and they loved being on campus around all the college kids. We rented a house in downtown Gettysburg, saw the new pool, walked through campus, climbed an observation tower, drove the battlefields, watched actors shoot a canon, caught the first half of the football game, ate all over the place (including Servo, the Lincoln Diner, The Pub, and Mr. G's ice cream!), and so much more.
