Let's skip from Halloween to Christmas, shall we? :-) In honor of Dan's family tradition, we did Christmas Eve and Christmas with just the four of us this year. It was a different feel from our usual holiday (and a BIG difference from my childhood routine!), but in its own way it was just as fun and lovely. The kids were bright eyed and bushy tailed by 6:00 a.m., and they were both thrilled with Santa's gifts. We spent the day opening presents, snacking, playing inside and outside, relaxing in the hot tub, and watching Elf.
