Marching in the Memorial Day Parade - Part 1

As we celebrate the 4th of July, here are pictures from Jericho's Memorial Day Parade.  We've attended the parade in the past and the kids loved how much candy they got, but this year they were both very excited to march and hand out the candy.  We marched with Jakob's tee ball team (those are his good buddies Ben and Myles in the picture immediately below), and we made it the whole mile!  Both kids had so much fun and did a fabulous job, but Everleigh in particular relished the opportunity to personally hand deliver candy to people of all ages.  She must have walked an extra two miles zigging and zagging back and forth!

We were planning to go to the Richmond parade today, but with temps in the 90s, we're headed to a lake instead.  :-)

Jakob had his six month appointment today (about 2.5 weeks late, but I'm not counting, haha), and he did amazing as usual.  He gained over two pounds since his 4 month appointment, and he's up to 16 pounds 8.5 ounces now.  That means he's officially tripled his birth weight!  He still has a tiny head, but he grew another 1.75 inches and is in the 57th percentile for height.  The doctor called him the happiest baby ever, and although she probably says that five times a day, it was still nice to hear.  He didn't love his three shots, but after a quick round of The Itsy, Bitsy Spider, he was all smiles again.  Talk about a huge success!
