Visit to NY! Part 1

This past weekend we packed up the car (again...busy summer!) and headed to Hamilton to see the Hall side of the family.  Although we've seen pictures, it was our first time seeing the housing swap in person, and it was even more fantastic than we could have imagined.  Heather and Mark came up from Texas to assist for a month, and the work they did on the English Ave. house should be featured on one of those remodeling shows on TLC, that's how incredible it is.  Grandma and Grandpa Hall found a way to feature the majority of their beautiful furniture in a smaller space, which was equally impressive.  Travis and Jaimie have been hard at work making the big house into "their" house, and we couldn't believe how much has changed.  The new porch is even better than the original (didn't think that was possible), and the inside looks absolutely huge.  Kenzie has a lovely bedroom (in Dan's old room, aww!), and the playroom/tv room was a favorite for the kids.  Speaking of the kids, they had a terrific time playing with each other, with the strange exception of bathtime on Friday night when they all simultaneously crumbled, ha.  We went to the farmers' market and playgrounds, had lots of yummy food, spent most our days outside, and swam at the reservoir twice.  Grandpa Hall took us out on the boat Saturday evening, and both Jakob and Everleigh jumped off the front of the boat into the water (with life preservers on, of course).  Jakob was a fish and had to be forced out of the water, and Everleigh took a turn steering the boat.  (Shocking how fast we could move from the center of the reservoir to the edge doing only a left turn, haha!)
