Jakob Daniel and Everleigh Grace Hall

 

I swear I haven't forgotten about the blog!  I've been taking a ton of pictures with my awesome new camera, but there's been a glitch between getting them from our computer onto the blog.  We recently upgraded our Mac's operating system, and along with the upgrade came a new photo editing package that I've learned is incompatible with the photo storage system I've been using for the blog.  The long and short of it is that I need to figure out how to use iCloud, or get some other system worked out for posting pictures to the blog.  To do that, I need a few minutes of quiet time when I'm not completely exhausted, and those minutes have been non-existent in a house filled with germs for the past six weeks. I've got a few pictures from Dan and Everleigh's trip to New York, and I'll hopefully get them up sooner than later.  Stay tuned...I promised the blog is not completely dead!

Dan and Everleigh are off on their trip to New York to visit the Halls!  First stop...McDonald's for some lunch.  Not surprisingly, the little lady is loving her mozzarella sticks and dipping sauce. 

Everleigh's development has been astronomical lately!  She's able to jump and have both feet clear the ground now, and she loves to twirl in circles until she plops over.  She's getting pretty good at feeding herself with a spoon, and she loves to drink the milk out of a bowl of cereal by tipping it up to her mouth.  She's starting to get interested in climbing the stairs, but she's very good about waiting for an adult to help her down. Her language is starting to come along nicely too.  She says please, thank you, bye bye, all gone, all done, up, help, paci, more, doggie, cat, Jakob and can repeat lots of words and colors.  She understands the concepts of no and mine, and she says both of those words...a lot.  She loves to make animal noises now too, which is adorable.  She's particularly good at owls, cows, dogs, cats, dinosaurs, and horses.  I think the other day she started trying to sing the alphabet song along with one of her toys, but it's possible

After being on vacation from the afternoon of December 23rd through January 3rd, Jakob was less than enthusiastic to go back to school yesterday morning.  When he got there, however, he was immediately greeted by his best buddy, Celdric, and all was right in Jakob's world.  Celdric had been on vacation for a few days before school let out for break, and Jakob missed him a ton.

Dan took Jakob to Montshire last week on one of Jakob's vacation days.  The guys had a ton of fun at the museum and at lunch...so much so that Jakob fell asleep on the ride home.  <3

 

Many thanks to the Halls' family friend Betty for hooking Jakob up with a new car seat.  He loves the cup holder, and Everleigh is so much happier in a bigger car seat too.
