Welcome to Jakob's blog!
Hi everyone, and welcome to Jakob's blog! Dan and I will use this space to post updates, pictures, and videos to keep all of our family and friends around the country up-to-date on what's happening with our little guy...assuming we can figure this blogging business out!
Today we're at a whopping 33 weeks. Seems like just yesterday we were staring at those positive pregnancy tests (all five of them, just to be sure the first four weren't faulty), and yet here we are, with less than two months to go until Jakob's May 14th due date. I'm still feeling great and bigger every day, and Dan has done a remarkable job being supportive in every way possible.
The nursery is pretty much completed, and we've already finished the childbirth class, complete with a tour of the birthing center and hospital. We've got a few more classes coming up and have to get the car seat bases installed, but in general we're feeling pretty ready to go.
Thanks to all of you for the unconditional support and love you've shown us as we've gone through the pregnancy process. The real adventure - and by far the best part - is yet to come, but with such amazing family and friends, we're looking forward to all of the joys and challenges that being new parents will throw our way. Jakob is so lucky to have all of you in his life, and we can't wait for him to meet all of you!
Until we've got pictures of Jakob to share, here are a few pregnancy photos to get the ball rolling...
