Glue

This morning I was getting ready in my bathroom when Jakob walked in, still rubbing his eyes.  He said he wanted to snuggle in our bed, so we climbed up and snuggled in.  After a couple of minutes, he said "I wish we were glued together so I would never have to miss you."  That makes two of us, kiddo!!!  <3

Happy birthday to Grandpa Janelle...it's a big one!  Everleigh and I took a trip to CT two weekends ago to attend numerous events, not the least of which was a birthday lunch for Grandpa!

Jakob's new thing is wearing two shirts to school.  Sometimes it works for a normal looking outfit, sometimes less so.  We got him some short sleeved undershirts as well as sleeveless ones, and he definitely likes the sleeveless shirts.  Like father, like son!

Turkey Lunch at JES!

Yesterday, JES hosted a Thanksgiving lunch for the students, and families were invited to attend.  Fortunately I was able to take some time off.  Wednesday on the car ride home he said to Everleigh "tomorrow is a special day for me because Mommy is coming to school for our Thanksgiving lunch."  Just about every kindergartener had at least one family member in attendance (it appeared much less busy for the next wave of students, who are older), and Jakob was basically buzzing with excitement.  He immediately pulled me into line behind his friend Benny and his dad.  The teachers and afterschool folks were serving the food, and every one of them knew Jakob by name...such a social butterfly!  We sat with Benny as well as his other friends Elin and Henry, although Jakob must have gotten up half a dozen times to say hi to other classmates and their parents at different tables.  He really enjoyed the turkey and gravy, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin bread, while...
