Benji's Party, Part 2

Benji's 1st Birthday Party

The Detweillers sure know how to throw a party!  The kids loved doing an Easter egg hunt!

Sun Set, Moon Set

Image
The last three pictures are of the moon setting over the Adirondacks.  The pictures don't do it justice, even with my spiffy new camera.  The moon was pumpkin orange and simply stunning, especially because I had never seen the moon set before.  Chalk that up to a perk of being a morning person!

Potty Time!

Not much happening, but she loves to sit!

Signs of Spring

This is our first spring in our new home, and in part for that reason (and largely because I don't enjoy winter weather), I've decided spring is my new favorite season.

Everleigh is Two!

Image
Happy birthday to our sweet baby!  Even though she's full of words and can be the most independent little creature I've ever seen, she seems so much more like a baby to me than Jakob did when he turned two.  Maybe it's because she's the second child and will always be our baby, or just that she's young and little in comparison to Jakob.  She even refers to herself as baby, usually when insisting that "baby hold!" or "baby do it!"  Despite that, I swear no one has ever looked at me with the same extent of pure love than she does in our tender moments of snuggles.  Everleigh continues to add to her vocabulary daily and has been stringing together words to make more complete thoughts.  She still loves having her pacifier any chance she gets, but we've started to limit her use of it to car rides and sleeping, and it's been working wonders for her language skills.  She wants to be in the middle of everything and doing everything on her...

Ding Dong the Blog is Nearly Dead

So it turns out Google, which owns the Blogger app that I've been using for the past four years, has decided to drop the photo storage website that I've also been using to keep this blog going.  Fortunately pictures I've posted previously won't end up as broken links, but for right now, unless I'm home on our laptop, I can't get pictures onto the blog.  What it means is that my posting rate will drop off even more than it's currently deplorable rate.  :-(  Hopefully Google will link its Photos feature into Blogger sooner than later, but for now, I apologize for the lack of posts.
