Pre and Post Pictures from Middlebury Court Visit
Yesterday Jakob and I visited our friends at the Middlebury Court. He loved being the center of attention with all the ladies, and one of the awesome security guards gave him a shiny Sheriff Star sticker that he loves to look at. Here are some before and after pictures! I love making new friends! First, I'll charm them with my eyebrow acting, a la Michael Keaton in the early 90s. Then I'll give them a coy look they won't be able to refuse. Wait, you mean I need to get strapped into the car seat for this?! I'm a little less excited now. Good thing I waited to spit up all over myself until after we got home! Can't wait to visit them again!
Talking Back
Over the past couple of days, Jakob has started to babble back in response to when Dan and I talk to him. This video doesn't really do it justice, but it'll give you a glimpse of what he's working on lately. I'm sure over the next few days I'll be able to get a better one. Also, he's increasingly putting his hands up to and partly into his mouth, probably looking for that somewhat elusive thumb to suck on! I'm gonna find that thumb! Making lots of happy baby noises these days So happy

Impromptu BBQ Leads to Hilariously Precious Moments
Last night we quickly threw together an impromptu BBQ with a few friends. As you can see in the pictures below, the babies were the stars of the show (as always). Carrie and Jakob saying hello Lots of resemblance between Gabe and Graham. Also, Graham's onesie is great. It says "Mad River Glen. I will ski it." Now that's a first generation Vermonter! Graham doing an excellent job working on his sitting. G and Jakob enjoying some peaceful time. Yes, Graham is actually trying to latch onto Jakob's head! We have a great video of him doing it for like 2 minutes, but I think it's too long to post, because I keep getting an error message when I try. Besties! I think Jakob wanted to fall asleep he was so comfy sitting with Graham. Here comes trouble! More face time for the boys Don't mind the mustard all over Jakob's sleeve. Hanging Around
In an attempt to take some pictures of Jakob somewhere other than his swing, Dan sat him on the pass-through windowsill this morning. Judging by his face, I'm not sure how much he liked it, but he looks cute anyway! Hmm, this isn't where I usually sit... Where the heck am I?!
