Hall/Janelle/Gilman BBQ

Image
Graham and I are doing a wonderful job sharing my trains Time to take a break from the fun to do some mowing Hot dogs with ketchup...our favorite! Grandma made cake, and we're enjoying it Graham is coming in for a frosting kiss.  Will my fork deter him?

Front Porch

Image
After nap time on Saturday, we spent time on the front porch relaxing.  Grandma and Grandpa Janelle had taken Jakob blueberry picking in the morning, so we enjoyed some delicious berries and great weather. Grandma is showing me pictures from blueberry picking I don't mind having blueberry juice on my face It's a little bright out, but I'm all smiles Too bad Mommy cut part of my head out of this picture Maybe I'm not all smiles, now that something has captured my attention Seriously cute

Morning with Grandma and Grandpa Janelle

Check out my head control   I'm bad to the bone I'm happy to be in the jungle This keeps me occupied so Mommy can get a couple of things done

Everleigh's Milestone: Reach

Everleigh was just laying on her play mat, and for the first time, she made a clearly coordinated and successful attempt to reach out for and touch one of the toys!  Needless to say, we're very proud of our baby doll!

Baby in 'Da Hood

All these cool temps mean I've got to bundle up I look wide awake now But the Baby Bjorn puts me right to sleep

Snakes on the Baby

Image
Apparently this is what happens when I leave Everleigh with Dan so I can have time with Jakob.  :-)  This is going to be the sequel to the movie Snakes on a Plane. The G version of this movie will have a lot less cursing than the original!
Image
Without any prompting from us, Jakob often goes to lay down with Everleigh while she's on her mat so he can give her gentle pats and kisses.  It's the sweetest thing I've ever seen. I love you, Everleigh I love you too, Jakob

Puzzling

Image
The best part about Dan and Jakob working on this puzzle is in the last picture.  Jakob gave his thumbs up sign when it was all done, only he uses his two pointer fingers instead of his thumbs.  So cute and funny! This is a big puzzle about big trucks I'm pushing in the last piece Yay for the puzzle! Actually, make that two "thumbs" up for the puzzle!

Bouncey

Image
Much like she's learned to love her play mat, Everleigh is slowly starting to accept being in her bouncer seat for a few minutes at a time. I'm so serious about these little animals One of these days I'm going to figure out how to use my hands in a coordinated movement.  Then you two are in trouble!

Montshire, Part 2

Image
Another great exhibit with balls rolling around This is part of the "air" exhibit More balls....it's an understatement to say this place is hands on My first moose A standoff! Looks like I won This room was about atmospheres.  I'm looking at the sand storm. Cool, an ant farm!  Mommy probably wouldn't like this exhibit, considering how grumpy she gets when she sees ants in our house Wow, Cousin Bill has lots of lovely chickens Great Uncle Scott brought me bread so I could feed them.  What a fun morning!  (Yes, this was all before noon!)

Montshire

Last weekend Dan took Jakob down to the Montshire Museum in Norwich, Vermont.  It's much bigger and even more hands on than Echo, and they had a blast.  There was a big dinosaur exhibit that both guys enjoyed.  There's an outdoor part with water that kids play in, but unfortunately it was too cool the day they went.  Because they were so close to White River Junction, the guys stopped in to see Scott and Anne and meet their chickens. I'm waiting for the museum to open, and I hope it's soon! They have fish here, just like Echo Maybe next summer Daddy will teach me how to fish WHOA.  BIG! I'm trying to figure out what this triceratops is looking at You may be the king of the dinosaurs, but I'm not afraid to touch you, Rex. Learning how to tie and untie knots...I'll be very useful next time I'm on Grandma and Grandpa Hall's boat BUBBLES!!! How did they know I like frog sounds?! I loved watching the balls clink aro...
