10 Months (...ish)

Image
Thanks to this being a non-leap year, Jakob doesn't have an official 10 month birthday this month.  Therefore, today is his 10 monthish birthday in our books.  He had a great day, spending lots of time playing and getting fresh air. What do you mean there's no February 29th this month? I decided it was only appropriate to dress in my formalwear for today I'm stretching so tall that Mommy cut my head out of this picture Yeah, that drool extends from my mouth all the way to the floor.  Took me 10 months to perfect that. I'm a crawling expert too This was Mommy's bear when she was a baby.  She looks a little nervous as I play with it.  I can't imagine why... Heading out for our first stroll in months! I'm scoping out the scene These dirt roads are so muddy, but I'm still glad we strolled!

Best. Picture. Ever. We'll be in the Johnson Woolen Mills catalogue for sure!

Quality Assurance

Don't mind Jakob...he's just making sure our baby proofing is of the highest quality. Can't seem to pull this off Looks like it runs the whole length of the table Maybe I can yell at it and scare it away Help me out with this, kitty!

Standing Room Only

I love looking out the window Good luck getting these sticky fingerprints off the glass I'm still working on pulling myself up

Just Once

These pictures demonstrate why we immediately got the stove gate once Jakob started crawling.  (The bars get slightly warm, but not at all hot.)  After snapping these pictures, we instated the permanent "NO" rule about Jakob touching the gate. This wasn't here when I went to sleep I better see what it tastes like Thanks for keeping me safe!

TGIF!

It's Friday!  Here's to a fun weekend, starting today! I've read this book so many times that I'm trying it upside down to bring back some of the thrill A TISSUE!!! What else can I find up here? Mommy, why did you clean off the coffee table?  I'll just use the table itself as a teething toy.

Safety First

Everyone knows how much Dan loves our wood stove.  That being said, he loves Jakob more than anything, and nothing is more important to Dan than Jakob's health and safety.  So now we've got this: Actually, Kenya is probably more bummed about this than Dan will ever be.

It Wasn't Me

Alternate title:  Demise of the Tissue Can I blame this on the kitties?

More Crawling

Look out Kenya, you won't be safe on the floor with me for long Here I come! Crawling is so much fun!

Crawling!

Image
Yesterday morning, while Skyping with Uncle Travis, Jakob did his first official forward-moving crawling!  He's been practicing it dutifully since then, and we're sure in no time he'll be motoring around the house. Now if I want to play with something, I get it myself I crawled to the kitties' bed in case I want to rest after all this moving I love playing with Saratoga!

Beer Mecca of the WORLD

http://www.ratebeer.com/RateBeerBest/bestbrewers_012013x.asp Copy and paste that website into a new browser, and you'll see why we were so excited to visit Hill Farmstead brewery.  Yup, Vermont's very own, ranked numero uno!  Georgia came with us, which made it infinitely better, and we also stopped at the Alchemist cannery, Rock Art Brewery, and Positive Pie in Hardwick as well.  We managed to get Hill Farmstead to ourselves, even though there were cars from Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Wisconsin in the parking lot when we arrived.  The beer was fresh and delicious.  Not a traditional way to celebrate Valentine's Day, but it was pretty perfect nevertheless.  We hope your day was filled with love! Getting some Valentine's Day love from Georgia Bring on the pizza! We like to wear plaid, and we look good wearing it Family shot with with the Hill Farmstead sign to prove we made the journey Pour it high and deep This one

Rock 'N Roll!

This is what I came home to last night.  I can't imagine a cuter greeting committee! Now I really fit in with first generation Vermonters! Just get me an axe and my oxen, and I'll be set to go.  I'll also accept a bottle and the kitties.
