Summer (2016) Vacation in Jamestown, RI

It's so cold today, so I'm thinking of warmer times. Last summer, Grandma and Grandpa Janelle rented a huge house in Jamestown, RI for a week. Aunt Karen joined us. We went down for four nights of fun, and it was amazing. The house had an outdoor shower (my favorite part) and its own inground, heated pool. The beach was only .5 miles away, but we only made it there twice because the pool was such a huge hit. There was a lighthouse, a tiny aquarium, and a fantastic ice cream shop. Jakob tried frozen lemonade and loved it. We went to Newport for a steamy afternoon, and checked out a playground at the local elementary school. Photos of our stay for a few days.

Sledding Fun...FINALLY

That finally in the title isn't because we finally got snow yesterday (which we did, after a significant round of ice caused school, day care, and the court to close), but because the kids were finally really into sledding! We went out twice, both for about an hour, and it was all giggles most the time. Jakob in particular had a blast.
