Jakob Daniel and Everleigh Grace Hall

We started Jakob's birthday celebration on Friday when he got home from school.  He really wanted to open a couple of gifts each day of the weekend and on his birthday, so we let him open news Pokemon binders and a pack of special Pokemon cards.  The gifts were a big hit!  Everleigh got to open a few very small gifts over the weekend too, and she was really impressive in her ability to be genuinely happy for Jakob and appreciative (without even asking for more) of her very small gifts.

It may be his lucky seventh year, but WE are the lucky ones!  We love you so much, Jakob!!

They went to see How to Train Your Dragon: 3, and I cried my eyes out.  Beautiful graphics and a lovely story.

We went to see Lego Movie 2, and I let them get all the snacks they wanted.  A good time had by all!

I took the kids to JES to play in the snow one weekend morning, and they were delighted to find a hole/tunnel through a snow pile.

Jakob went to see his first college hockey game since he was very little (not yet two, I think) with his best bud Gavin, Gavin's brother, and his mom...who looked thoroughly exhausted by the time she dropped him off around 9:30, haha.  She said they had a blast, that Gavin stood the whole time, and that Jakob rarely took his fingers out of his ears, hahaha!
