Farm Part 3

Image
I took a LOT of pictures at the farm last Sunday! Daddy and I are off to see some alpacas I'm practicing sticking out my tongue Maybe if I stand really still it won't notice me We both are watching something interesting over there Pigs!  I'll call you Bacon, and you Pork Chop, and you The Other White Meat... Look at those huge turkeys Mommy said something about being nervous during this picture Back to the pigs, but quietly, because they're sleeeeeping Now we're watching the chicken parade The lady asked us not to chase the chickens, but I'm only 15 months, so I'm going to pretend I don't know what she meant What came first, the chicken or that rooster?

Well, well.  We meet again, sheep. I reached out and touched you BAA! Yup, I'm chasing a pigeon. I see you, bird. You can fly, but you can't hide from me Happy On to the goats! I touched this one too, but Mommy was too slow with the camera to catch it They have toy tractors here! This may be the best place ever Let go of me, Mommy!  I've got fields to plow! These chickens don't look like my nuggets I like your feathers

Shelburne Farm

Image
It's been a while since the last time we took Jakob to Shelburne Farm to see the animals, so we headed out bright and early Sunday morning.  Jakob had such a blast yelling at, petting, and chasing the animals around.  He was so brave!  Fortunately the animals were incredibly patient with him and the other youngsters. Hurry up!  This stroller won't push itself! Must. See. Sheep. Hello my fuzzy friends!  I bring you Daddy's sunglasses as a sign of friendship. AIRPLANE!! Back to the sheep, or "baa baas" as I like to call them. Check out those cows. I only wish I could get a closer look. Ask and I shall receive!  What a beauty! We just met, so I don't think I'm ready for your kisses yet. I'm feeling brave today, so I won't run away MOO! This is a dream come true Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this cow's pen needs a cleaning I like to be tickled under my chin too I did it!  I touc...

After a great nap, we headed back outside on Saturday with Jakob.  We checked out the new soccer goals, visited the fire station, threw rocks in the river, and had a BBQ. Look at all these nets There's a Jakob-sized passage between these goals Check out this shiny light! Roll out the hose I'm ready for cadet training I went down to the river And into the river I'll dive...well, maybe not Look at all these rocks for me to throw I like these new horseshoe pits.  They're fun to run on! Is this pole regulation size? Just picking flowers in the backyard while Daddy gets the grill going.  Nice little Saturday!
