Wow, Jakob's second grade Spanish teacher is really special. She's in the classroom for 12 hour days many days of the week, she has seemingly endless amounts of patience, and she's incredible at drawing out the best in her students. Jakob's attitude and academic performance have improved a ton this year, and I think a lot of it has to do with her. Last night, she took the time to write Dan and I the following email, which just shows how dedicated she is to her students: Hello Liz and Dan, This is the quickest of the emails to tell you that it warmed my heart to see Jakob speaking in Spanish so well during his presentation, and answering his peers’ questions.
